Wanda Brackins is the Head of Global Diversity for RBC Wealth Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada and one of the world’s top 10 largest wealth managers. Wanda is responsible for the creation, coordination and implementation of the firm’s global diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives that align with and support the overall business goals – including workforce representation, client segmentation, brand building and community involvement. She assesses needs, leverages best practices across the organization, identifies and recommends strategies that heighten cultural competence and cultivates a work environment of inclusion and mutual respect. Wanda partners with leaders globally, providing coaching and support for their diversity management efforts.
Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in June 2004, Wanda was the Global Program Director of Diversity and Work/Life Innovations at PeopleSoft (formerly J.D. Edwards, Inc.). In this role, Wanda developed the global corporate diversity and work/life strategies and created targeted initiatives that positioned the company as a “destination workplace.”
Wanda was named the 2013 Outstanding Corporate Leader of the Year by National Gay/Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC); one of the 2012 Top Influential Women in Corporate America by Savoy Magazine; and, one of the 2011 Women Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal. Since 2011, Wanda has served as the Chair of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Diversity Committee. She is a member of the National Black MBA Association, the Society of Human Resource Management, former executive co-chair of the Conference Board Diversity Business Council, and has served on several non-profit boards of directors.
Wanda holds a Masters of Science degree in Management, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management, and a Certificate in Human Resource Management.
