Tracy Warren

San Diego Trailblazer and Attorney, Tracy Warren serves as a part time Sports Broadcaster for various national sports networks including Fox Sports Network and ESPN. Ms. Warren was both the first ever full time sports Anchor/Reporter for both Wood-TV, (NBC) Grand Rapids, MI, and WPHL-TV, (WB Network) Philadelphia, PA. There she covered the Philadelphia Seventy Sixers, Philadelphia Flyers and other professional Philadelphia sports teams as well as the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons. She has received an Emmy Award for “Best Sports Feature” Marketing Michael Jordan, a piece she wrote, produced and reported. She has also worked as a sports broadcaster for the Pac 12 and Big Ten Networks, the SEC Conference, among other collegiate conferences and Time Warner Sports where she served as color commentator for the Los Angeles Sparks.
Tracy Warren is member of the Labor & Employment Practice Group and Managing Shareholder in Buchalter’s San Diego office. Representing both national and international clients in employment matters involving single plaintiff and class action defense. She advises, counsels, trains and litigates in areas including wage and hour compliance, pay equity, sexual harassment, retaliation, terminations, hiring, leave of absence, reductions in force, employee discipline, workplace accommodations, religious exemption, NCAA bylaw compliance, Title IX, and other matters of legal compliance. Ms. Warren serves as outside counsel to the National Association of Sports Commissions and Women Leaders in College Sports. She has been a featured speaker at the National Softball Coaches Association, the National Volleyball Coaches Association, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, the National Association of College Directors of Athletics and the College Sports Information Directors Association. She is a former Athletic and Academic All American Athlete, won an NCAA Post Graduate scholarship, was inducted into the Academic All American Hall of Fame and continues to serve on the selection committee for the Academic All American Hall of Fame.
Ms. Warren represents both individuals and for profit and nonprofit corporations across a wide variety of industries including technology, banking, food & hospitality, pharmaceutical, health care, education, health clubs, insurance, retail as well as nonsecular and religious based clients. She practices in state and federal courts, arbitrates and mediates nationally and practices before state and federal agencies, including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA). Ms. Warren has significant experience conducting investigations involving sexual harassment, sexual impropriety, sexual abuse, hostile work environment, bullying, fraud and retaliation in all sectors.
Ms. Warren also represents clients in matters concerning NCAA bylaw infractions, drug testing, eligibility and compliance-related matters. She conducts investigations into NCAA and university related legal matters involving Title IX, Cleary Act violations, bullying and cyber bullying, workplace violence, hostile work environment, academic fraud, sexual impropriety, broadcast, social media and First Amendment issues, and Americans with Disabilities Act accommodation issues.
