Cynthia Curiel

Sector Vice President Communications, Northrop Grumman

Cynthia Curiel is sector vice president, Communications, for Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, a premier provider of manned and unmanned aircraft, space systems and advanced technologies critical to our nation’s security.

In this role, Curiel is responsible for managing strategic and tactical communication programs that support the sector’s new business captures and for increasing awareness of sector and corporate capabilities among employees, customers, shareholders, the media and the public.

Anastasia Figueroa

Senior Associate Director, MBA Admissions, USC Marshall School of Business

Anastasia is a life-long Trojan, now in her 10th year recruiting future Trojans for USC Marshall’s Executive MBA, Full-Time MBA, and MBA.PM programs. She is responsible for the successful recruitment of qualified EMBA students in Los Angeles and in San Diego at our Carlsbad campus located at the Omni La Costa Resort.

Anastasia enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her husband (USC Marshall MBA ‘95) hanging out at the beach, watching USC football games, attending dance recitals and enjoying musical theater. Her role model and inspiration is her mother, Dr. Ernestina Avalos-Figueroa, DDS (USC ’80) who taught her to strive for excellence and be a proud Latina!

Kathy Hutchens

Vice President Business Development and Patient Engagement, Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers

Kathy directs strategic marketing and communications for Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers, a multispecialty medical group affiliated with Sharp HealthCare. She is responsible for spearheading brand and patient engagement strategies for the organization. Kathy also directs the patient contact center whose staff members provide positively memorable experiences through more than 2 million patient interactions annually.

Kathlyn Mead

President & CEO, The San Diego Foundation

Kathlyn Mead is President and CEO of The San Diego Foundation, one of the largest community foundations in California and the nation. Since 2014, she has led the mobilization of resources to advance quality of life, increase social impact and champion civic engagement through effective, responsible and innovative philanthropy throughout the vibrant San Diego region.

Susan Miller

Director, Systems Security & Release Management, Oracle Corporation

Susan Miller is responsible for managing software product releases for all the SPARC platform products as well as for Oracle's Unix-based operating system, Solaris. She leads her cross-divisional teams to coordinate product roadmaps and to release all products on-time with superior quality. In addition, she oversees security assurance practices to help ensure all Systems' products are protected. Throughout her career, Susan has taken an active role in leadership development and mentoring and currently leads the Southern California region for Oracle's Women's Leadership. She is married with three children and lives in San Diego.

Pat Reno

Senior Vice President , RBC Wealth Management

Patricia Reno’s career in finance began in 1987 when she joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor. Ms. Reno spent her years at Merrill Lynch and most recently RBC Wealth Management managing assets for high net worth individuals, corporations, pensions and non-profit organizations.

Helen Robbins Meyer

Chief Administrative Officer, County of San Diego

Helen N. Robbins-Meyer is the first woman appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the County of San Diego. She manages a workforce of more than 16,000 employees in more than 40 departments with an annual budget of $5 billion.

Debra Rosen

President and CEO, North San Diego Business Chamber 

Since assuming her position in 2009, Rosen has built the Chamber into a respected regional business organization by identifying business solutions, building local resources and establishing collaborative relationships within the region’s dynamic business community.

Summer Stephan

District Attorney, County of San Diego 

District Attorney Summer Stephan has devoted her life to protecting children and families and providing justice to the voiceless and most vulnerable. She is a national leader in the fight against sexual exploitation and human trafficking, who has served as a Deputy District Attorney in San Diego County for 27 years. During this time, she combined extensive courtroom experience with over 15 years of management and leadership experience. She rose through the ranks to appointments as Chief of the DA’s North County Branch and Chief of the Sex Crimes and Human Trafficking Division, a Special Victims Unit she pioneered. In 2012, she was appointed Chief Deputy District Attorney. In 2017, she was appointed District Attorney.

Denise Visconti
